Small, hideable daylight source
These are the same 12V strips Rosco supplies in the RoscoLED Tape Daylight Gaffer Kit, sold individually so you can add lengths or replace one. Plug the barrel connector into a suitable 12VDC supply or dimmer and the strip is ready to go.
- 5600K daylight output with high colour rendering (CRI 93, TLCI 92)
- Pre-soldered 2.1mm barrel connector — no soldering on the job
- IP67 silicone coating for repeated indoor and outdoor use
Gaffer, practical and set work
Hidden fill on set
The longest strip — use it for broader soft fill inside vehicles, along set walls or behind larger props.
Vehicles and tight spaces
Low-profile daylight for car interiors, cupboards, shelves and set pieces where a fixture won’t fit, run from a suitable 12VDC source.
Props, displays and events
Lighting inside props, signage and display pieces where a short, robust daylight strip is needed.
What it is — and what it isn’t
Use it for
- Adding to or replacing strips in a RoscoLED Tape Gaffer Kit (Daylight)
- Hidden daylight sources in sets, props and vehicles
- Outdoor or damp locations within its IP67 rating
Don’t use it for
- Connecting directly to mains power — it needs a 12VDC supply
- RoscoLED 2-, 3- or 5-pin systems (Static White, VariWhite, VariColor reels) — different connectors
- Colour tuning — it’s fixed at 5600K
- Cutting to length — Rosco doesn’t list cut points for these strips; treat them as fixed lengths
Getting the best result
- Check your 12VDC supply can carry the total current of every strip you’re running (this strip draws about 0.96A).
- Plug the 2.1mm barrel connector into the supply, a compatible 12V dimmer or an extension/splitter cable.
- Position and secure the strip with a method suited to the surface — test first on painted or delicate finishes.
- Power up and check colour and level through the camera before you lock it off.
