Collection: Colour Correction Filters

Rosco colour correction filters are professional lighting gels that modify and balance light sources for film, photography and stage. They shift colour temperature, correct mismatched sources, and keep a set looking consistent when daylight, tungsten and LED are all in the same room.

CTB and CTO

The two workhorses of the range.

  • CTB, colour temperature blue. Converts tungsten towards daylight. Stocked in full blue, half blue and the intermediate cuts.
  • CTO, colour temperature orange. Converts daylight towards tungsten. Roscosun full CTO, three quarter, half, quarter and eighth, so you can dial the correction rather than jumping between extremes.

The fractional cuts matter more than people expect. A quarter CTO on a window is often the difference between a natural interior and one that reads obviously gelled.

Also in this range

Plusgreen and half Plusgreen for matching fluorescent sources, and Tough UV filter for cutting ultraviolet without shifting visible colour. If you want the working set rather than individual sheets, the Rosco Colour Correction Filter Kit covers the common corrections in one pack.

Choosing the right filter

Our colour correction table lists the shift each filter produces so you can pick by the correction you need rather than by trial and error. Actual results vary with the light source and the environment, so treat the table as the starting point and test on the day where it matters.

Colour correction filters are also stocked across the wider Rosco gel ranges, including Cinegel, Supergel and Roscolux, and E-Colour+. If you cannot find the exact reference you are after, ask us.
