Atmosphere Aerosol — Haze in a Can for Photographers & Film (AU & NZ)
Atmosphere Aerosol · haze in a can · AU & NZ
The fog machine you keep in your bag.
A room with a little haze photographs completely differently — beams appear, backlight glows, and depth shows up out of nowhere. Atmosphere Aerosol is clear, non-toxic haze straight from a can. No machine, no fluid, no power, no warm-up. Pull it out of the bag, give it a spray, and the shot looks expensive. If you carry one thing for mood, make it this.

We're here to help
When you'd reach for a can
The everyday moments a can of haze fixes in seconds — on set, on location, in a client's space.
✗ The room looks flat and lifeless — no depth, no beams, no atmosphere.
Rosco fix: A quick spray adds haze so light beams appear and the frame gets instant depth.
✗ You're on location with a camera bag and nowhere to put a fog machine.
Rosco fix: The can lives in the bag — no cart, no power lead, no fluid bottle to carry.
✗ It's a client's space and you're worried about mess, residue or fluid.
Rosco fix: Atmosphere Aerosol is clear, water-based and non-toxic, and clears on its own — nothing left behind.
✗ You want visible light beams or god-rays through a window or backlight.
Rosco fix: Haze is what makes beams read on camera — spray, and the light you already have turns cinematic.
✗ A fog machine is total overkill for one hero shot or a single setup.
Rosco fix: A couple of seconds of aerosol hazes one setup instantly, then disperses — no machine to wheel out.
✗ You need mood NOW and there's no time to rig or warm anything up.
Rosco fix: There's no warm-up — shake, spray, shoot. Mood in the time it takes to lift the can.

What it actually does
Haze reveals the light you already have
Light you can't see doesn't read on camera. Add a fine, even haze and everything changes — a hard backlight becomes a glowing rim, a shaft through a window becomes a visible beam, and a flat room gains front-to-back depth. Atmosphere Aerosol gives you that hang-in-the-air haze from a can, so you get the expensive look without a machine on the floor.
- Makes light beams, shafts and god-rays visible on camera
- Turns hard backlight into a glowing rim on hair, edges and product
- Adds real depth and separation to a flat-looking room
- Fine, even, hangs in still air — not a thick blast of smoke
- The single fastest way to make a shot look cinematic
Why a can, not a machine
Everything a fog machine is, minus the machine
A fog machine is the right tool for a whole venue or a long run of haze. But for a photographer or a small crew doing setups, a can wins on the day: it fits in the bag, needs no power or fluid, warms up instantly, and cleans up by simply dispersing. Control is as easy as a shorter or longer spray.
- Fully portable — 8 oz can drops in any camera bag
- No power lead, no fluid, no warm-up, no cleanup
- Control the amount with short bursts — a little goes a long way
- Safe in studios and client spaces — clear, non-toxic, clears on its own
- Ready the instant you are — shake, spray, shoot
