Breakaway Bottles

Rosco breakaway bottles for stage, film and television — beer, wine and spirit bottles that shatter safely on impact for fight scenes, stunts and dramatic effect. CFATS holds the range in Australia as the exclusive Rosco agent for Australia and New Zealand.

How they work

Each bottle is cast from a sugar-free breakaway resin engineered to break into blunt, low-risk pieces rather than sharp shards. They look convincing on camera and under stage light, and are made to be safer to use around performers than real glass — though any breakaway effect should still be rehearsed and supervised.

The range

Beer, wine and whiskey bottle shapes in clear and amber, plus other vessels for specific gags. Because they are a consumable — one bottle, one take — most productions order in multiples and keep spares on hand.
