Who We Are
Creative Film & Theatre Solutions (CFATS) is a specialist supplier focused on the needs of the film, theatre, live event, and architectural lighting industries in Australia and New Zealand. We’re a small, hands-on team who actually understand the products we sell, how they are used on real jobs, and what can go wrong when the wrong thing turns up at the wrong time.
Rosco in Australia & New Zealand
CFATS is the exclusive agent for Rosco in Australia and New Zealand. That means if you’re working with Rosco products locally, whether that’s scenic paints, Foamcoat, FlexCoat, gobos, dance floors, or DMG Lumière fixtures, you’re in our backyard.
We work closely with Rosco’s global team and local dealers to make sure end users here have:
- Access to the full Rosco range through local channels
- Product guidance that’s specific to the AU/NZ market and standards
- Stock on the ground and realistic lead times
- Help with oddball projects, custom work, and “we need this yesterday” production requests
What We Supply
Through CFATS and our dealer network, you can access:
- Rosco Scenic Coatings & Primers – Foamcoat, FlexCoat, Tough Prime, plus specialty coatings and finishes.
- Rosco Scenic Paints – Off Broadway, Supersaturated and other scenic systems.
- Rosco Flame Retardants – Flamex and related treatments for drapes, scenery, and décor.
- Rosco Gobos & Custom Gobos – Stock and custom metal/glass gobos for major fixture brands.
- Rosco Dance Floors – Adagio, Chroma Floor and performance flooring for studios and venues.
- DMG Lumière & Rosco Lighting – Soft lights and specialist fixtures for film and broadcast.
How We Work
Our job is to sit between Rosco HQ, local dealers, and end users and make the whole chain as simple as possible. That includes:
- Helping designers and techs choose the right Rosco product for the job
- Supporting dealers with pricing, stock planning, and product training
- Coordinating special orders, custom gobos, and project-based logistics
- Translating “this is what the production wants to do” into “here’s the Rosco system that will actually work.”
