Installing with double stick tape
- Let the floor lie flat overnight so creases and wrinkles settle out.
- Apply the tape to a clean, dry subfloor, leaving the plastic covering on the side that will contact the floor.
- Working in roughly 0.9 m (3 ft) sections, fold back the edge of the floor.
- Remove the plastic covering and press the floor down onto the tape.
- Rosco recommends two people for this method. Tape seams on top with vinyl floor tape as needed.

Common questions
What is Rosco double stick floor tape for?
Holding marley (vinyl) floors down to the subfloor. Rosco makes it for adhering marley to most subfloor substrates in temporary or semi-permanent installs.
Is it the same as marley floor tape?
No. Vinyl floor tape joins seams on the top surface. Double stick tape goes underneath the floor to fix it to the subfloor. Many installs use both.
Which Rosco floors can I use it with?
Rosco vinyl floors including Adagio, Arabesque, Dance Floor, Show Floor and Performance Floor. Rosco’s installation guide excludes Roscoleum and Studio Tiles from the double stick method.
What size is the roll?
48 mm wide × 25 m long.
How do I remove residue?
Rosco suggests its All-Purpose Floor Cleaner, full strength on a soft cloth, for gummy tape build-up — wear gloves and test first.
Follow Rosco’s installation guidance and test on your subfloor first — adhesion and removal depend on the subfloor, conditions and how long the floor is down. Information is from Rosco product data and is a guide only.
