Rosco LitePad 1 Amp Transformer — 12 V DC mains power
A compact transformer that turns 100–240 V AC mains into 12 V DC for the smaller Rosco LitePads. Its 1 A maximum limits it to LitePads that draw less than one amp — the 3" Circle and the 3" x 3", 3" x 6" and 6" x 6" sizes.

Use it for
- Single small LitePads drawing less than 1 A
- 3" Circle HO90 and 3" x 3", 3" x 6", 6" x 6" HO90, Axiom and Axiom 90 (per Rosco)
- Use with a Rosco extension cable or dimmer within its rating
Don’t use it for
- Larger LitePads such as 6" x 12" and 12" x 12" — use a 3 A or 5 A transformer
- Ganging several panels whose total draw reaches 1 A
- LED products from other brands without checking voltage, polarity and connector
Getting the best result
- Add up the rated current of every LitePad you plan to connect (see each Rosco spec sheet).
- Check the total is below 1 A — if not, split the load across more transformers.
- Connect the LitePad(s) to the transformer’s DC output, using a Y Splitter, 4-Way Spider or extension cable as needed.
- Plug the transformer into mains power and switch on. Test the full setup before the shoot or show.

Common questions
Which LitePads will the 1 Amp Transformer run?
Rosco designs it for smaller LitePads that draw under one amp: the 3" Circle HO90 and the 3" x 3", 3" x 6" and 6" x 6" sizes of LitePad HO90, Axiom and Axiom 90. For larger panels, or more than one panel, use the 3 A or 5 A transformer.
Can I run two small LitePads from the 1 Amp Transformer?
Only if their combined draw is below 1 A. Check each panel’s Rosco spec sheet — in most multi-panel setups the 3 A or 5 A transformer is the better choice.
Does it work on Australian and NZ mains?
Rosco rates the input at 100–240 V AC, which covers Australian and New Zealand mains voltage. Check the mains lead or plug type with us when you order.
Can I dim LitePads powered by this transformer?
Yes — add a LitePad dimmer between the transformer and the LitePad, such as the Single Fader Dimmer or the Two Channel DMX Dimmer. Keep within the dimmer’s own rating too.
Check the combined current draw of every LitePad on a circuit against the rating of the power source and every cable in the chain, and test the setup before the shoot or show. Specifications are from Rosco data and are a guide only.
