Rosco DigiComp® HD — precision for digital compositing

When the key has to be flawless — virtual production, broadcast VFX, livestream — DigiComp HD is engineered to exact luminance and RGB targets that “virtually replicate the theoretical ideals” on a vectorscope. Crisp separation, little to no post clean-up, even coverage in two coats.

Built for real keying problems

Where generic greens cost you in post

For compositing-heavy work the paint is part of the pipeline. These are the failures DigiComp HD is built to remove.

Industry problem

Dirty keys that need hours of roto

Generic and paint-store mixes carry spectral interference, so the keyer can't cleanly separate foreground from background.

Rosco fix: Single-source pigments with highly-specific spectral reflectance give crisp, clean separation — little or no post touch-up.
Industry problem

Colour that isn't to standard

“Looks right” isn't a spec. Off-target colour undermines every downstream compositing tool.

Rosco fix: DigiComp HD is dialled to proper luminance and RGB values for optimum operation of all digital compositing systems.
Industry problem

Low reflectivity means more light

Weak paints force you to over-light the screen to get a usable key.

Rosco fix: High-gain reflectivity returns more keyable signal, so you light efficiently and evenly.
Industry problem

Inconsistent walls across a big volume

Patchy saturation across a large stage reads as different greens to the camera.

Rosco fix: Even, high-opacity coverage in two coats keeps a large volume reading as one consistent key.

Step 2 · Choose your colour

Green or blue?

Key on the colour that appears least in your foreground — wardrobe, props and set. Pick one and we'll focus on that exact paint: specs, coverage and how to buy.
