- Variable nozzle controls width and overspray
Laminating and bonding in the workshop
Laminating sheet materials
Bond sheet materials and laminates where a fast, even contact bond is needed.
Porous & non-porous surfaces
CRC rates it for both porous and non-porous surfaces — test your specific materials first.
Prop & set builds
Fast assembly where clamping isn’t practical — always trial on offcuts of your actual materials.
Coverings & trims
Bonding coverings and trims where a clear, non-staining glue line matters.
Repairs
Quick workshop repairs needing an instant grab.
Large areas
About 1 m² coverage per can, sprayed on both surfaces.
What it is — and what it isn’t
Use it for
- Bonding porous and non-porous surfaces (test first)
- Large-area contact bonding without clamps
- Jobs needing a clear, non-staining glue line
- Fast workshop assembly and repairs
Don’t use it for
- Polystyrene/EPS foam or sensitive plastics without testing — solvent-based sprays can attack them
- Joins that need repositioning — the bond is permanent on contact
- Trapping solvent between two non-porous surfaces before it has flashed off
- Service temperatures above 75°C
Getting the best result
- Make sure both surfaces are clean and dry (pre-wipe with ADOS Solvent N if needed).
- Shake well and set the nozzle to the spray width you need.
- Spray an even coat onto both surfaces.
- Wait 5–10 minutes until tacky but not transferring to a clean finger.
- Position carefully — it grabs instantly — then press firmly over the whole area, ideally with a roller.

Common questions
What does CRC ADOS 8180 bond?
CRC rates it for porous and non-porous surfaces. It doesn’t list specific materials, so always test on an offcut of your actual materials first.
Is it safe on polystyrene foam?
Not confirmed. It’s solvent based, and solvent-based spray adhesives commonly attack EPS/polystyrene. Test before use, or ask us for a foam-safe option.
How long before I join the surfaces?
Spray both surfaces and wait 5–10 minutes until the adhesive is tacky but doesn’t transfer to a clean finger, then press together firmly.
Can I reposition after contact?
No. The bond is immediate and permanent — line it up carefully before contact.
How much does one can cover?
Approximately 1 m², as both surfaces need to be coated.
Always read the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Highly flammable aerosol — use only with adequate ventilation and away from ignition sources. Test on offcuts of your actual materials first. Specifications are from CRC/ADOS technical data and are a guide only.
