Atmosphere Aerosol — haze in a can for photo and film
A clear aerosol that adds haze to a still, windless space so back-light shows up as visible rays. No power, fog machine or fluid needed — it fits in a camera bag.

Instant atmosphere, no machine
Spray it into a room or still area to add haze or a smoky, foggy look. It needs back-light to show — where you place the light and how much you spray changes the result.
- Adds haze to a still area
- Makes light rays visible with back-light
- No power, machine or fluid needed
- Portable — fits in a camera bag
- Described by the maker as clear, odourless and non-staining
- Build the look up gradually
Photography and small-scale film work

Atmosphere in still indoor spaces without bringing power or fluid.
What it is — and what it isn’t
Use it for
- Small, still indoor spaces
- Back-lit photo and video set-ups
- Quick atmosphere on location
- Shoots where a fog machine isn’t practical
Don’t use it for
- Large venues or long scenes — use a hazer or fog machine
- Windy or well-ventilated outdoor areas — the haze won’t hold
- Spaces where smoke detectors haven’t been managed
- Spraying towards people, flames or hot lights
Getting the best result
- Arrange use with the venue first — haze can trigger smoke detectors.
- Set your back-light first.
- Spray in short bursts into the air, away from people and hot equipment.
- Wait for the haze to settle, check through the camera, then add more if needed.
- Ventilate the space after the shoot.

Common questions
How does haze spray work?
It releases a fine haze into still air. With back-light behind the haze, light rays and atmosphere become visible on camera.
Is Atmosphere Aerosol made by Rosco?
No. Atmosphere Aerosol is its own brand. We stock it alongside Rosco fog and haze products.
Will it set off smoke detectors?
It can. Arrange its use with the venue before you spray and follow the venue’s procedures.
Does it work outdoors?
Only in still conditions. Any breeze will move the haze away quickly.
Haze spray or a hazer — which do I need?
A can suits short, small-space shoots. For larger spaces or longer scenes, a hazer gives consistent haze over time.
Always read the can label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Use with ventilation, keep away from heat and flames and never pierce or burn the can. Test the effect before the shoot. Information is a guide only.
