Rosco DigiComp® HD Blue (5750) – Precision Digital Compositing Paint
Share
DigiComp HD Blue is Rosco’s professional digital compositing paint designed for productions that require the most accurate blue screen possible.
Unlike generic “blue screen” paints, DigiComp HD Blue is engineered specifically for digital compositing systems, with carefully controlled RGB values, luminance levels and spectral reflectance.
The paint is engineered to produce clean separation between foreground and background, helping compositing software isolate subjects quickly and accurately with minimal cleanup.
Professional digital compositing paint used in broadcast studios, virtual production environments and VFX stages.
Why DigiComp® HD Blue is different
- Precision digital colour – formulated specifically for digital compositing workflows
- Single-source pigments – ensures consistent colour performance between batches
- High luminance & chrominance – creates stronger separation between subject and background
- Ultra-flat finish – prevents reflections and hotspots that interfere with key extraction
Many paints labelled “blue screen paint” are simply colour matches. DigiComp HD Blue is engineered to perform under studio lighting and camera sensors so the keying process is faster and more predictable.
When to choose DigiComp® HD Blue
- When subjects or wardrobe contain green elements
- When green spill must be avoided
- Broadcast and livestream studios
- Virtual production stages
- Film and television compositing environments
Blue screens generally require slightly more lighting than green screens, but they can produce cleaner results when foreground subjects contain green colours.
